Join me for a workshop of drawing leaves in pen! One of my favorite subjects find, look at and draw. You’ll learn about stippling (drawing with dots) which is a very meditative technique, as well as a few others like short lines, hatching and cross hatching. As a bonus, I’ll show you some painting on paper with watercolor or natural pigment as well as how to cut into paper to create a see-through effect. All these you may do after the workshop. Your main focus will be drawing the leaves!

What you need:

Drawing paper, hot press paper or any paper that can handle ink. 8 x 10 is perfect.
Graphite pencil and eraser for initial sketch.
Pigma Micron technical drawings pens - 0.1 or 0.2 (other sizes are welcome) or equivalent.
Watercolors are optional, mostly for those of you who have some experience already.

What to expect:

Before workshop begins, I’ll email you reference images as well as a ZOOM link. During class there will be a demo. We’ll sit and draw together so that you can ask me any questions that may arise. After workshop ends you’ll have up to a week to send me any drawings for critique or feedback. For those of you watching the recording only, you may also send drawings to receive feedback. The demo part of the workshop will be recorded and uploaded onto my Patreon account (majasereda) for future reference.
